Instructions

1. Install software on Windows (Company Portal)

Company Portal is your company's own app store, and everything in it is already approved.

  1. Click the Start menu, type Company Portal, and press Enter to open the app.
  2. Browse the home screen or use the search bar to find the application you need.
  3. Click the application, then click Install.
  4. The app will download and install silently in the background. You will receive a notification when it is finished.

2. Install software on a Mac (Self Service)

Self Service is the same idea on a Mac, under a different name.

  1. Press Command + Space to open Spotlight search, type Self Service, and press Return.
  2. Browse the catalog or search for the application you need.

Frequently asked questions

Why can't I just download the software from the internet?
Downloading software from the internet requires an administrator password to install. Software in the Company Portal is pre-approved for security and packaged to install without admin rights.
What if the software I need isn't in the Company Portal?
If an application is missing, you must submit a software request ticket to the IT Helpdesk so they can review it for security, purchase a license if necessary, and package it for deployment.
