Troubleshooting
INFO
Most organizations require passwords to be at least 8 characters and include a mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols. If your new password is rejected, check with your IT team for the specific password policy.
| Symptom / Error | Potential Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| "Password doesn't meet requirements" | Policy not met | Use at least 8 characters with uppercase, lowercase, a number, and a symbol. |
| "We can't change your password right now" | Too many recent changes | Wait 24 hours. Most policies allow only one change per day. |
| Outlook keeps asking for password after change | Cached credentials | Close Outlook, open Credential Manager from the Start menu, and remove old Microsoft entries under Windows Credentials. |
